Lincoln County Mayor Bill Newman and Fayetteville Mayor John Law sign a Proclamation designating February 23, 2016 as Spay Day for Fayetteville and Lincoln County. World Spay Day takes place each year on the last Tuesday of February, is the first and only international day of action to promote the spaying or neutering of pets, community cats, and street dogs to save animals' lives. Our county and city mayors call upon the people of Fayetteville and Lincoln County to observe the day by having their own pets spayed or neutered or by sponsoring the spaying and neutering of another person's pet or of an animal in the shelter awaiting adoption.

Pictured with Lincoln County Mayor Bill Newman and Fayetteville Mayor Jon Law to celebrate Spay Day USA 2016 are Denise Isbell, HSLC Shelter Manager, and Remington, Shelter mascot, Bonnie Cowan, Southern Alliance Spay and Neuter Clinic President, Addie Hodges, and Patricia Hopper SASNC Board members, and Cindy Kite, HSLC Vice President.

Stephanie, a local Huntsville artist is creating these unique & personalized gifts for the pet lover, or for yourself,  and you'll also be helping the animals at the Shelter! Just give her a call or email today.
